Impressive Marlins victory tonight over the Orioles. And what was most impressive? I only have to write one line tonight!

Best Performer:
Emilio Bonifacio: 4 PA, 1 H, 1 1B, 1 ROE, 2 R, 1 SB, WPA: .188

Of course, his performance was entirely contextually driven. Truthfully, Cody Ross’s 3-for-4 night, including two doubles and two RBI’s should have beaten it out. Also, mention should also go to Dan Uggla, who rocked a 2-for-3 night with a double and a walk as well. Good to see Uggla hit that double with a sharp grounder down the line; if he can keep the ball down a bit more, maybe he’ll start getting tha average up and we’ll see numbers more indicative of his skillset. Still, decent ballgame from Bonifacio and I congratulate him on his first Boniline victory!

EDIT Note: From FanGraphs’ Play Log, it seems Uggla was incorrectly attributed a -.089 for Jeremy Hermida being caught by Nick Markakis at the plate. Seems like that should be attributed to Hermida and not Uggla. Still, I don’t think the calculations would change, as Uggla still would be at around .050 wins. Bonifacio still wins!
