Lane,

I think you've got the right idea, although I'd say we'd be in a heap of trouble if we had Uncle Wes starting for us at third base. There should cheap options available in the market right now, not to mention the trading of Cantu/Uggla/both. We'll have to wait and see, I for one am excited.

we'll see if there is a part B, a trade of either Uggla or Cantu next, both of whom SHOULD have value. Especially if they extend Josh Johnson, they probably will dump one or both and use that salary to pay for JJ. They can plug in Gaby Sanchez or Logan Morrison at 1B and Coughlan (or god forbin Bonifacio) at 2B (and Logan in LF for instance).

Get a cheap platoon partner for Wes for 3B.

C - Baker
1B - Gaby
2B - Couglan
SS - HanRam
3B - Uncle Wes/Platoon
LF - Morrison
CF - Maybin
RF - Cody

Lane,

I agree, the Marlins had very little leverage with the way they treated Hermida this season and the way he played. I hope he does well wherever he goes from here.

I am pretty sure that Cody is staying, as the team really likes him. We'll have to see how this offseason develops, but we kicked it off interestingly enough.
