That does not surprise me at all. He got that stick through the zone so quickly, it was probably the entire source of his power. And you could tell he could do it, because he was flicking that bat all the time at ridiculous speeds during his stance. I&#039;ll never forget that bat flicker; it&#039;s gotten slower as his year&#039;s have gone by, but back in the day it showed he had some strong wrists, if anything.</description>

		<description>Dude could swing it that&#039;s for sure.  I remember watching an ESPN game back when he was with Florida and they were talking about player bat speeds.  

If I recall correctly (and my memory tends to be suspect) only two players at the time (according to their graphic) were able to generate bat speed in excess of 100 mph.  

Those two players were Sammy Sosa and Sheff.</description>
