But I feel like in the world of GM's, they don't get "hired away," but rather replaced by guys coming up in the front office. I think that helps us, because it means guys like Beinfest and Hill get a chance to stick around and execute a plan. To be honest, I feel like these were the biggest trades that he made, and overall I think he grades out nicely. It may not be the fleecing most people believe, but I think Beinfest is certainly above average. JoeA,

That makes it more even. I agree with you that the intent was not to trade him, unless things went wrong. As you and I have stated, things did not go well in 2005, so the team's backup plan was to trade him away. It just worked out as backup-planned, I suppose. John,
