Right or wrong, it turns out he’s been a pretty good player when he’s been given regular ABs. He’s played over 120 games in 3 of his 9 major league seasons and in two of those he was league average or better at the plate (according to OPS+). Infante also has solid defensive skills for a guy who routinely plays 5-6 positions a year. But hey, don’t take my word for it, check out what Marlin Maniac’s Michael Jong has to say on the matter. It just might surprise you.
