We have been doing Marlins Way for a while now, just looking at Miami Marlins links. Today we will take a look around the league and see what is going on. Let us get started:
- Wonder why the Marlins are having a tough time adding starting pitching through trades this off-season? Take a look at what the San Diego Padres got for Matt Latos and the Oakland Athletics for Gio Gonzalez. The Marlins simply do not have the prospects to match up with other teams.
- Just three days ago, the Texas Rangers received a very expensive Christmas present in Yu Darvish. They now have until January 18th to sign him or he returns to Japan.
- The New York Mets are close to trading David Wright to division rival Philadelphia Phillies? Do not count on it. Wright to the Phillies would make the Marlins chances so much harder.
- Apparently the Atlanta Braves are trying to trade for Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles? The Braves have reportedly offered the Orioles Martin Prado, Jair Jurrjens, and a prospect for Adam Jones. As a Marlins fan, I truly hope so. Braves would lose badly on that deal.
