Poll Result:Reaction to Carlos Zambrano Trade

On January 5th 2012, the Miami Marlins completed their circus, which they have decided to call a baseball team, by acquiring pitcher Carlos Zambrano from the Chicago Cubs for Chris Volstad. At the time of the trade, I asked a simple poll question to all MarlinManiacs. Here is the question and the results of the poll:

Is the Zambrano trade worth the risk?

  • Yes; a few dead fish is nothing compared to a WS Ring (65%, 66 Votes)
  • No; I love animals and am scared of Zambrano's future actions (35%, 36 Votes)

Total Voters: 102

Most of you guys agreed that the Marlins were indeed smart to trade for Carlos Zambrano. If Josh Johnson can stay healthy in 2012, this is what the Marlins potential rotation looks like:

That rotation has a chance to sneak up on people and be a top 5 rotation in all of baseball. You could argue that the rotation is about the same as last season, but that rotation was highly regarded before the season, and it performed well until JJ went down.
