The Marlins signed former Phillies third baseman Placido Polanco this Thursday as reported by Jon Morosi on twitter. The Marlins had a hole at 3B after Yunel Escobar was traded and were putting together trade packages before settling on Polanco with a 1 year, $2.75M deal.
