Hope everyone enjoyed their Super Bowl Sunday. Congratulations to all Baltimore Ravens fans on that great win. Joe Flacco has proved that he belongs in the conversation with the top Quarterbacks in football.

Football season is now over, but that only means the unofficial start of baseball season is here! Pitchers and catchers are set to report to camp just a week from now! I know I am extremely excited for this season to get going.

Here is a quick look back at the posts that were made on Marlin Maniac last week:

  • I returned to Marlin Maniac this past week, as Editor. Check out the Marlin Maniac site update to see what’s in store for the site for the upcoming baseball season.
  • There is a way Jeffery Loria can be cheap and still be able to trade away Major league players for minor leaguers, this with gaining trust back from free agents. How? Read my post on Michael Bourn and the must-trade clause to find out.
  • This off season, I decided to work on my own top Marlins prospect list. I previewed what to expect from that list in this post. I was going to start on the prospects that just missed the top 15, #20-16 on Saturday, but errands and work ate up my posting time, so expect that later today.
  • Chris Coghlan was almost traded this past week? How close and for whom? I cannot tell you that for sure, but I can tell you which team it was, to find out, click here.
  • We all made some predictions on MM yesterday for the results of the Super Bowl. Check out who got correctly picked the Ravens to win.

  • Our own writer Andres Salgado is a finalist for MLB Fan Cave. How awesome would it be to see a Marlins fan on the Fan Cave? Like Andy points out, it would help reduce the annoying stereotypes Marlins fans are met with. Go vote for him now.

I would like to thank you guys for reading this site. I really appreciate it. Over the next few weeks, as the season draws closer, I am hoping that these weekly recaps become a lot longer, as we churn out more articles to get you ready for the 2013 season.
