The Major League Tradining Deadline is just 2 days away and we are going to continue our game on Marlin Maniac that puts you in the Marlins General Manager’s chair.

With Ricky Nolasco already dealt, the Marlins have a few more trade candidates waiting in the wings. Although the team has already determined Giancarlo Stanton, Logan Morrison, Steve Cisek, and Mike Dunn as future building blocks, those names could still be moved if a team is willing to overpay for their services. Can the Marlins land a top prospect for closer Cishek? That’s for you to determine.

Top prospects like Christian Yelich and Jake Marisnick are now in the majors, and Justin Ruggiano and Juan Pierre have been relegated to bench roles. Does the team make the tough decision to designate Pierre or do they seek a trade return for Ruggiano?

The team also has trading chips like Chad Qualls and Ryan Webb in the bullpen. Could they find a decent return for either, in what is clearly developing into a sellers trading market.

Email us at [email protected] what you would do in the scenario if you were the Miami Marlins GM. Our staff will pick the top 3 GM moves and post them sometime in the next two weeks. We will then put the top 3 to a vote for you guys to decide who did the best job as the mock Marlins GM.

The deadline to enter the contest will be July 15th end of the month of July, with a winner being announced shortly after. The winner of the contest will win an autographed baseball by one of the Marlins prospects, Anthony DeScalfani. He was nice enough to send me a signed baseball for the contest winner.

There is one catch though, to be eligible for the prize, you have to “like” our Facebook Page as well as follow us on Twitter @MarlinManiac.

Get your General Manager cap on and see if you can do a better job than the Marlins front office has done in 2013.
