The Miami Marlins are coming off a thrilling back and forth victory Sunday afternoon to prevent the sweep against the San Francisco Giants.  They will look to try to continue that momentum as they kick off a home series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Miami will send their ace to the mound with Jose Fernandez.  Fernandez has been spectacular this season amassing an 8-5 record, no small feat considering the Marlins anemic offense.  Look for a low scoring game as the Dodgers counter with Hyun-Jin Ryu.  Ryu has been excellent this season as well with a sub 3.00 ERA and a 12-3 record on the season.  The Dodgers have won 25 of 29 games since the all-star break and are in the midst of a historic 50 game run.

Bold Prediction:  A battle of the bullpen insues after both Fernandez and Ryu allow one run through 7 innings each. Fernandez strikes out 10 and  Morrison is the hero as he hits a late inning home run off of the Dodger bullpen and the Marlins win 3-1!
