It’s another Sunday so that means it’s time for another edition of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Marlins Recap. How did the Marlins fare today against the Colorado Rockies? Let’s see in the quick recap– The Good: Justin Ruggiano; The Bad: we lost; and The Ugly: miss opportunities. Quick enough for you? Let’s jump into the full recap.

The Good:

Justin Ruggiano went 2-2 and got on base safely on all four at bats. He homered in the 2nd and singled in Logan Morrison in the 4th. Ruggi is trying really hard to show us that he belongs in the starting line up and make us forget about his 0-??? See? I can’t even remember his slump.

The Bad:

We lost 4-3, which also caused us to lose the series 2-1. Why did we lose?

The Ugly:

Miss opportunities after miss opportunities cost us this game. With runners in scoring position the Marlins went 2-13, and left 11 runners on base. In the 9th we had runners on 1st and 2nd needing just one run to tie it up and the Marlins grounded into a force at second. We came back from a 3-0 deficit just to strand runners on the bags. Not a very pretty stat.

The Marlins have Monday off and then head on a 9 game road trip. So let’s keep on rooting for our Marlins. As always: Let’s Go Marlins!
