Marlins Way: Boston Red Sox Win 2013 World Series

The 2013 Major League Baseball season is officially in the books, as former Marlins owner John Henry celebrated his third World Series Championship with his Boston Red Sox. Congrats to Mr. Henry and the entire Red Sox organization.

Also, a shoutout is in order for Johnny Gomes for taking his moment to celebrate to find time to criticize sabermetrics and WAR. The funny thing, the Boston Red Sox led baseball in WAR in 2013 and Bill James has been employed by the front office in all three of their recent World Series victories. Whoops.

Sabermetrics wins again, Mr. Gomes. If you really want to go against the sabermetric community, you could always join the Marlins. Their front office has been lagging behind in that department for years. Anyways, let’s get to the Marlins internet links for the day:

Would the Marlins consider making an offensive upgrade at catcher with the acquisition of either Wilin Rosario of the Rockies or J.P. Arencibia of the Blue Jays? Arencibia would be a natural fit since he is a hometown kid.

Flynn, trust me, Marlins fans feel the same exact feeling. Hopefully the Marlins can get their front office act together and get the Marlins back to the promised land.
