Mark will always hold the distinct honor of being the 1st ever Marlin to appear in a professional game. Mark was released by the Brewers and the Expos before he was signed by the Marlins at an open try out in Delray Beach on April 10, 1992. On May 2, 1992 his contract would be sent to the Salinas Spurs. It was a tough season for Mark, going 3-12, posting an ERA of 4.88 and never making it to the majors, but Mark will always be known as the first professional player as a Florida Marlins.
