The Miami Marlins made their big free agency splash of the off-season official on Monday, the first day of the annual Winter Meetings. The team introduced new catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia to the media on Monday afternoon.
Saltalamacchia was extremely excited to be joining his home town team and mentioned a few times that he was excited to work with the young Marlins staff, that pitched “dominantly at the highest level,” in 2013.
