Welcome back to the Greatest Moments in Marlins History. For moment 110 we go to 2010, Dan Uggla’s last season with the Marlins and the year he won the Silver Slugger Award as a 2nd baseman. 2010 may have been Dan Uggla’s best offensive season he has had so far. Having a few career best in this season opened the eyes of the coaches and managers and he was awarded the National League Silver Slugger Award. Let us take a look at the numbers, shall we?
First let’s look at his batting average which was .287 and was his career best. We also have his 105 RBIs, another career best. We can also take a look at his OPS of .877, which would be a career best as well. Finally we present to you his OBP of .369, another career best. In addition to his four career bests he put up some good numbers in other categorize like 169 hits, 33 doubles, and 31 home runs. He might have finished 17 in the MVP voting that year but us Marlins fans will never forget… His name is Dan Uggla! A few more Silver Sluggers to go. Join me next time to see who is up next.
