With 162 games in a Major League Baseball season, we here at Marlin Maniac are here to help you choose which of those Marlins games are the must watch games of the season. Let’s jump in and see what games we chose.

March 31, 2014 Miami Marlins vs Colorado Rockies

Opening Day and Jose Fernandez’s starting the season. This is a must watch game and that is all there is to it.

April 2, 2014 Miami Marlins vs Colorado Rockies

Last season ended with a no-hitter walk-off pitched by Henderson Alvarez. How will Alvarez start the new season off? There is only one way to find out. Watch his first game of the season to find out and see how Alvarez answers back after throwing a no-hitter.

April 18, 2014 Miami Marlins vs Seattle Mariners

He’s back! Logan Morrison returns to Marlins Park for the first time since being traded in the off season. Will he be great or will he fizzle? As a Marlins fan, I hope Nathan Eovaldi (if everything goes right it’s his day to start) strikes him out every time he comes up to bat.

April 21, 2014 Miami Marlins at Atlanta Braves

If everything with the pitchers goes right, this will be the first time Fernandez will face the Braves since his bench-clearing scuffle last season. Yes, Brian McCann is now a Yankee, but Chris Johnson is still there! Here is hoping for another bat flip from Jose.

May 2, 2014 Miami Marlins vs Los Angeles Dodgers

What do you get when you have the highest payroll in baseball facing one of the lowest payrolls? You get the Dodgers vs the Marlins in their first face off this season. Will the Dodgers start off slumping like they did last year? Will the Marlins be shocking the baseball world by having a winning record at this point? Only time will tell, but it will be great to watch our young hungry players face off against the team that’s trying to buy a ring.

June 2-5, 2014 Miami Marlins vs Tampa Bay Rays

The Citrus Series is always a fun series to watch for the Marlins. We get 2 games in Miami and 2 games in Tampa over 4 days. Let’s see who really is the best team in Florida.

July 4, 2014 Miami Marlins vs St. Louis Cardinals

Happy 4th of July and we welcome the defending National League Champions to Miami for their first game of the season against the Marlins. “To be the best you have to beat the best WOOOOO!” Thank you, Ric Flair. They are considered the best team in the National League; it’s time to see how our Marlins fare against the best of the best.

August 25, 2014 Miami Marlins at Los Angeles Angels

Mike Trout and his 144.5 million dollar extension. This will be the first time the Marlins will be facing Mike and their first time facing Albert Pujols since he decided not to be a Marlins (that is, if he is healthy enough to play).

September 28, 2014 Miami Marlins at Washington Nationals

Last season’s ending had a walk-off no-hitter, here is hoping for something just as magical. Maybe it will be the clinching game for the final wild card spot? How about a perfect game? Who knows what the finale will have for the Marlins, but you know I’m tuning in to find out.

These games will be great to watch, but you know me I’ll be watching almost all 162 games and making the drive down to Marlins Park to see some games live. So support our Marlins and let’s watch them shock the baseball world this year. Let’s Go Marlins.
