Welcome back to this week’s edition of The Good, The Bad, and Quick Get Out of San Diego Marlins Recap. Let’s run through a quick recap- The Good: The 8th inning; The Bad: we lost 5-4; and Quick Get Out of San Diego: losing the series 3-1. Now with all that out of the way, let’s take a deeper look at the game.

The Good:

Entering the 8th inning the Marlins were down 5-0. That was until Christian Yelich led the inning off with a solo shot. Reed Johnson and Giancarlo Stanton followed with singles and both were scored in by a Jeff Baker triple. Adeiny Hechavarria scored Baker with a ground out getting the Marlins back in the game down only one run. The Marlins even had a chance to win the game with the bases loaded in the 9th and Baker back at the plate with 2 outs.

The Bad:

Quick Get Out of San Diego:

The Marlins continue their slide away from home. The Marlins lost the series 3-1 to the Padres and scored only 8 runs in those 3 losses while the Padres put up 24. This didn’t help our away record at all with a league worst 3-13 away from home.

We are now off to Los Angeles to face the Dodger for a 3 game series. Let’s root them on and see if they can repeat what they did to the Dodgers at Marlins Park. Please also be sure to wish your Mother a Happy Mother’s Day today!
