The 2014 MLB amateur draft has come and gone. The Miami Marlins had a pretty successful draft, drafting the players they liked and building a strong foundation for years to come. The most important part of the draft for the Marlins is that they were able to successfully sign a great majority of their players, including all top 10 picks.

With the draft officially behind us and the trade deadline fast approaching, this would be an proper time for us to take an updated look at the Marlins farm system.

The top 15 Miami Marlins prospect list was put together by contributor David Polakoff, senior staff writer Placido Estevez, and myself.

No Stone Garret or Soltis, they look like they could be steals.

Those guys are good prospects as well and should have a chance to crack future lists. Probably be on my year end list.

I am not optimistic on Twine. Looks very stiff in videos and scouts have tabbed him with a long swing. Can see him dumping baseball for a football scholarship after a couple of seasons of struggles in the minors.

Stone Garrett definitely looks the part of a top prospect. A Perfect Game and Under Armour All American who can hit and run a 6.4 sixty (based on Perfect Game). If the Marlins system develop him I see him moving up along with Kolek. Not sure how he slipped in the draft to eight round since his summer circuit and senior high school stats were just as good as or better than picks higher than him. He will be interesting to follow.
