Another Sunday in the baseball season, and you know what that means. Welcome to this week’s edition of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.  Let’s see how the Marlins did in game 3 against the best team in baseball. Time for a quick recap- The Good: Welcome back Christian Yelich; The Bad: We lost; and The Ugly: The 6th inning. With the quick recap out of the way, let’s go more in depth with the full recap.

The Good:

Yelich made his return today after a stint on the 15 day DL. In the bottom of the 1st Yelich led the Marlins off. The first pitch was a fastball that was just a bit outside. The next pitch Yelich sent to deep center field and hit the wall. Yelich was not stopping and slid into 3rd safely. The only problem was the ball was missed by the 3rd baseman and Yelich went home! His first game back was a triple with a score by an error from the second baseman. Welcome back Yelich! On another good note, the Marlins held their own and put up a great fight against the number team in baseball. But…

The Bad:

We lost 4-3 and the A’s swept the Marlins 3-0. The games were close but a win by us would have been great. You win some you lose some.

The Ugly:

It was a brutal 6th inning for Andrew Heaney. After starting the inning getting 2 quick outs Andrew gave up 3 consecutive hits that tied the game. Then the next batter, Nate Freiman, sent a ball into the Clevelander to make it 4-1. The Marlins would get 2 runs back, but fell up short in the end.

Next up for the Marlins is a 3 game series in Miami against the Phillies. Tune in and root our Marlins. Let’s Go Marlins!
