The Baseball Bloggers Alliance

I’m now a part of an awesome organization of bloggers called the Baseball Bloggers Alliance! Headed up by Daniel over at C70 At the Bat, this loose conglomeration has the distinct goal in mind to connect baseball bloggers together for any random intrasquad endeavors we may have on our plate and to collaborate on a season-ending voting of the various awards. I’m sure there’s a lot more to come from this, and I am glad to be a part of it. I look forward to putting my ballots for the awards up and seeing what everyone else thinks!

The BBA FanSided Contingent

In addition to all this, I’d like to give a special shout out to:

- Our FanSided MLB overlord Wally Fish of Kings of Kauffman
- Scott at Venom Strikes
- Griffin and Taylor over at SoDo Mojo
- the lovely ladies of Babes Love Baseball
- John over at Motor City Bengals
- Mat over at Jays Journal
- and B-Dogg at BoSox Injection

for joining up as part of the FanSided contingent in the BBA. Let’s get some more of our baseball blogs on there so we can get a larger FanSided voice in the BBA!

The 1st Annual BBA Awards

We just recently completed the first annual BBA awards for the 2009 season. Let me first say that it was a blast to vote and be a part of this, and even if I didn’t always agree with the consensus, I was more than happy to see that the results mostly jived with my thinking. We’ve got a solid group of forward thinking bloggers here, and I hope that we can continue doing this in the future so we can continue to see the insight of the true fans of the game in the awards voting.

Without further ado, here are your 2009 BBA Awards Winners:

2009 NL Manager of the Year: Jim Tracy, Colorado Rockies
2009 AL Manager of the Year: Mike Scioscia, Los Angeles Angels
