Worst loss of the season. That is what last night’s game felt like. For whatever reason, the Marlin franchise continues to struggle against the Atlanta Braves. The team got shutout on a brilliant performance by Tim Hudson and the Braves offense score eleven runs on the back of their star second baseman, Dan Uggla.

Marlins fans, remember, that was only one game, and the Marlins still have a good shot to claim this series. The second game of the three game series will take place tonight. Lets hope the Marlins can reverse their fortunes tonight and get back to their winning ways!

Series Preview: Chat with Fred Owens of Tomahawk Take

The Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves will be meeting for the second time this season starting Tuesday evening. The series will be the first time that the Braves will have a chance to visit the Marlins new ballpark. The series should be a very entertaining one, as both teams will be looking to make strides in the National League East.

The Marlins have a strong chance to sweep this series, just looking at the pitching match-ups. Per the usual, I had a chat with Fred Owens from Fansided’s Atlanta Braves site, Tomahawk Take. I am posting this before the series preview today, as I have this ready before the preview. The series preview should be up early tomorrow morning. NL East Projections Summary

Over the past week, I have been going position by position to examine projections for the 2012 season. I now have completed all the position players. I will not go into doing the pitchers just yet.

What we are doing today is we are going to grade each teams position players and see if one team has a significant advantage over another based on the projections. We will do this by grading each position. The top players at each position will receive 4 points, second best 3 points, third best 2 points, and fourth best 1 point. Let us go ahead and get started.
