Marlin Maniac Is Seeking New Writers & a Social Media Manager

Even with the two recent additions to the Marlin Maniac writing staff, we are still looking to add another writer or two to the staff. With Spring Training underway and Opening Day just 5 weeks away, we want to ramp up our coverage on Marlin Maniac as much as we can!

Do you enjoy writing about the Miami Marlins? This could be your opportunity to write about the team that you love with a growing audience of fans to reach. We don’t require any formal writing/blogging experience for our Staff Writer position (though it certainly doesn’t hurt) – just a solid understanding of the game, the team, and writing in general is all that is needed.

Our Staff Writers are asked to contribute a minimum of 6-8 posts a month (roughly 1-2 per week) with a focus on quality, not quantity. Ideal candidates will also possess the willingness to help promote the site and your work through social media. This role is currently an unpaid one, though there are other non-monetary benefits to joining the team and the FanSided Network.

I also have a role on the Marlin Maniac staff, which does not require any writing at all. Currently, we are looking for a Social Media manager. All you have to do is take control of the Marlin Maniac Facebook and Twitter profiles and update them throughout the day, as well as Tweet live during Marlins games.
