Atlanta Braves @ Miami Marlins Game Preview: Monday, July 8 7:10 PM EST (Game 88)
The Miami Marlins were cooled off by the St. Louis Cardinals this past weekend, ending their string of 10 wins in 13 games. The Fish will hope to get a new streak started on Monday afternoon, as they take on the Atlanta Braves at home.
Kevin Slowey will take the mound for the Marlins, taking the place of the recently traded Ricky Nolasco. Slowey will make his first start since May 22nd, but did pitch seven innings in the Marlins 20 inning win against the Mets on June 8th.
Mike Minor will take the mound for the Braves, gave up four earned runs on six hits over six innings. His biggest mistake of the game was walking Ricky Nolasco, as Justin Ruggiano followed up with a go-ahead three run home run.
