Several members of the Miami Marlins organization will be participating in the minor league versions of All Star games today at the Double A and Triple A levels.
Pitcher Chris Hatcher will be the lone Marlins minor leaguer participating in the Triple A All Star game this evening in Reno, Nevada. The Triple A All Star game format pits the Pacific Coast League against the International League. Hatcher has had an excellent season as the closer in New Orleans with 27 saves and a 2.96 ERA. Unfortunately, he blew up in his lone appearance for the big club this year allowing 5 earned runs in 1 inning before being sent back down.
