Miami Marlins @ Pittsburgh Pirates Preview: Wednesday, August 7th 7:05PM EST (Game 111)

The Miami Marlins looked well on their way to their third victory of the season against the Pittsburgh Pirates, as they nabbed an early 3-0 lead. Henderson Alvarez delivered a strong start, minus his the three run third that gave the Pirates a chance to even the game.

The Marlins scored only 3 runs despite picking up a double figure hit total, stranding 11 runners on base. Three runners were stranded on a spectacular diving catch by MVP candiate Andrew McCutchen.

Tom Koehler will look to bounce the Marlins back into the win column, as he takes on Charlie Morton in the second game of the three game series.
