Funny how baseball works sometimes. Henderson Alvarez will be making his eight start of the season today, but this will be the third time that he faces the Braves. On the other hand, Jose Fernandez has 22 starts and has yet to face the Braves.
Fernandez does lineup to face the Braves for the first time at the end of this month, that is if he is not shutdown or the Marlins don’t shuffle their rotation.
The Braves will point to their 13-1 record since Waffle House opened at Turner Field, but the real number Marlins fans should remember is that the Braves are just 1-1 against the Fish since Waffle House opened. +

Giancarlo Stanton returns to the Marlins lineup tonight. The Fish hope that a day off to clear his mind allows Stanton to recapture the home run stroke that has made him an MLB superstar at the age of just 23.
Bold Prediction: Alvarez throws six strong innings, limiting the Braves offense to just two runs on four hits. The Marlins offense does not provide him with much run support, but Stanton does go deep in his return to the lineup. Braves win 3-2!
