On April 1st, 2012 Marlins Park had their first ever MLB game played at here. After many years of trying to get a new ballpark, the Marlins finally had a place of their own to call home. This new 515 million dollar stadium was up and running. Although April 1st was only an exhibition game, and really didn’t count for anything, it still gave the city of Miami a quick look into the new Miami Marlins and their amazing park.

In this game we got to see the first hit and RBI go to Giancarlo Stanton in the 1st inning and Gaby Sanchez smacking the first home run in the 2nd inning (this list has only counted down five moments and already Gaby has been on it twice, good for him)! They also scored a run on Mariano Rivera, which was the first time he gave up an earned run in spring training since March 15, 2008.
