Greatest Moments in Marlins History: #132 Reliving 2003
Welcome back to the Greatest Moments in Marlins History. Today we are looking at a recent moment that happened in 2013. For moment 132 we take a look at August 4, 2013: 2003 World Series Day. The day started out with the Marlins handing out Mike Lowell bobble heads. After you got into the park, the real ceremony began.

First they introduced “Trader Jack” himself Jack McKeon with an amazing video. After the video they brought out some of the players from the 2003 team; such greats as Mike Lowell, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, Carl Pavano, Lenny Harris, and Jeff Conine, just to name a few. They then showed the fans video highlights of the 2003 season which ended with the Marlins celebration of beating the Yankees to become the 2003 World Champions (we’ll talk more about that day later on).
After a few words from some players, the 2003 team left the field and went to sign autographs for the fans. Even though the Miami Marlins lost that day, it was nice to celebrate a great moment in Marlins history and see some great players. Here’s to more future celebrations with newer World Series Championships.
