The Marlins uniforms have been through a lot of criticism since they changed over to the “Miami Marlins” and started playing at the brand new Marlins Park. Critics have called the Marlins uniform too colorful and ugly.
The Marlins front office however, describe the colorful uniforms as being “very Miami,” and they are right about that. Truthfully, no one gives a damn about how your uniforms look, as long as you win, which the Marlins have not.
On Sunday, the Marlins released what they will wear every home game, according to SoFlaMarlins:
"Monday-Thursday: White top, white pants with orange piping and black hat.Friday: White top, white pants with orange piping and red-orange hatSaturday: Black top, white pants with black piping, BP hatSunday: Orange top, white pants with black piping, black hat."
I think I am most excited about Friday games now, as I am a huge fan of the orange caps that the Marlins wear. The all-white uniform will also is an interesting look.
The Marlins are going to go with their regular uniforms on the weekends and wear alternates on the weekends.
Hopefully the Marlins can win in their new uniforms, so the main topic of the discussion when it comes to the Marlins will not be about their fashion. We can also hope that Giancarlo Stanton approves of the uniform choice more than he approves of the distance of the fences.
