The Miami Marlins will look to win their first series of the 2014 season as they face off against the Colorado Rockies this afternoon at Marlins Park. The Marlins won the first 2 games of the series before losing last night’s contest 6-5.
Jacob Turner will make his first start of the season for the Fish facing off against Franklin Morales for the Rockies. Turner is 0-2 in his career versus the Rockies, but with a respectable 3.86 ERA.

Jeff Mathis makes his first start of the season with the day game following a night game. Baker returns to the lineup at 2B as the Marlins will face their 3rd left handed pitcher of the series. As promised when they signed him, Garrett Jones continues to be in the line up versus the lefties as well. Jones is holding his own so far having gone 3-for 11 vs. LHP on the season and has drawn 2 bases on balls.
Game time will be 12:40 PM from Marlins Park and the game will be available on Fox Sports Florida.
