The Marlins have a game on Sunday and you know what that means. Welcome to this week’s edition of The Good, The Streak, and The Sweep Marlins recap. As always here is the quick recap- The Good: Marlins win; The Streak: Jacob Turner picks up the win; and The Sweep: Marlins sweep the Astros. Now that the quick recap is over let’s jump into the game.

The Good:

The Marlins win 4-2. The Marlins started the game off strong with 3 runs in the first inning. They kept it going with a Marcell Ozuna solo shot in the 6th to make it 4-1. The Marlins led the entire game.

The Streak:

There is no secret that when it comes to baseball, I am a very superstitious fan. I’m so superstitious that I almost contacted my editor the other day to find someone else to write this recap.  Since I have been writing these recaps, Jacob has gone 0-3 the days I write these pieces. Today that streak ended. Turner pitched 5.2 innings and gave up 6 hits, one was a home run to the very first batter he faced. Nevertheless he still picked up the win and ended the streak.

The Sweep:

The Marlins sweep the Astros 3-0. The Marlins only gave up 5 runs this whole series and put up 13 runs. This win also brought this road trip record to an amazing 6-1. Great job Marlins!

The Marlins return to Miami on Monday for a series against the Nationals. Come to the Park if you are in Miami and cheer on our Marlins. Let’s go Marlins!
