It’s Opening Day. The best day of the year, bar none. Today is the day that fans of 30 MLB teams (well, 28, since the first game was last night) see their optimism peak, and truly, honestly convince themselves that anything is possible. This could be their team’s year. Braves fire sales and Dodgers record setting team salaries, and every club in between, this is the day that your team begins its trek to late October glory.
We know you’re excited too, Marlins fans. And you have every reason to be. This team had a busy, productive offseason that, at least on paper, gives them a much-improved look and feel up and down the 25-man roster. Before your Marlins take the field against the Braves at 4:10 PM — and the game will actually count, this time — check out some Marlins news and notes you might have missed from the offseason’s final day.
