Opening day got off to a bad start when the game was delayed due to rain in a stadium with a roof. The Marlins weren’t too great with fundamentals last night, making numerous running mistakes, falling mid way to first after dropping a bunt or when Marcell Ozuna was diving for a catch and showing the umpire your glove even though he didn’t catch the ball.

The Marlins are ready to turn the page and are prepared for the next one tonight. They will be sending out Mat Latos. Latos, a Miami born guy was acquired by the Marlins in the off-season from the Reds in exchange for Anthony DeSclafani and catching prospect Chad Wallach.

The Marlins line-up for tonight will be the same as last night:

  1. Dee Gordon 2nd
  2. Christian Yelich LF
  3. Giancarlo Stanton RF

  5. Martin Prado 3rd
  6. Marcell Ozuna CF
  7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia C
  8. Adeiny Hechavarria SS

The Braves had a nice win last night and got key hits from their young players, and even one from their starting pitcher, Julio Teheran. Teheran also pitched a solid game last night for the Braves allowing only one run.

The Braves will be sending Alex Wood out tonight to pitch. The lineup for the Braves is mostly the same, with a couple of small changes.

  1. Eric Young Jr CF
  2. Jace Peterson 2nd
