The Miami Marlins, before exploding for 6 runs in the 9th inning last night, were outscored by the New York Mets 25-2 in the first 26 innings of their 3-game set.

A sweep at the hands of the Mets has left the team 13-games under .500 on August 6th. While the comeback effort was fun to watch last night, the rest of the 8 innings were pretty torturous to watch.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is the Atlanta Braves, in Atlanta. The Braves kicked off the season in Miami and sent the Marlins into an early tailspin they’ve never seemingly never have come out of. They will likely look to continue to kick the Marlins while they are down.
