Brian Anderson was slotted fifth in the lineup to open the series on Friday, and singled to left to open the second inning (+.037). In game two, Anderson batted in the cleanup position, and struck out with a runner on first to end the opening inning (-.022). He led off the fourth with a single (+.036), and singled with one out in the sixth (+.027). Down by seven runs, he grounded out to start Miami’s ninth (-.001).
On Sunday, batting fifth again, Anderson led off the second with a strikeout (-.024). With a 1-0 lead in the fourth, nobody out and a runner on second, he singled into center field (+.063).
