After finishing off a series sweep of the Diamondbacks on Thursday night, the Miami Marlins welcome the Milwaukee Brewers to town for a 3-game series.

As mentioned previously, the Miami Marlins swept the Diamondbacks on Thursday night, their first series sweep in 2021. The Marlins you could argue flat-out dominated the series as they outscored Arizona 20-4 in three games.

Key to Win Series – Stay Hot Offensively

As you know, the Marlins offense are swinging some pretty hot bats right now as they scored 20 runs in the last three games combined. The Brewers rank 10th in baseball in team ERA at 3.62, and will face three quality starters.

The bats must stay hot against a tough pitching Brewers team, and with the way the Marlins have hit this past week, it’s hard to bet against them.

Series Predictions

Offensive MVP: Adam Duvall

Duvall broke out of his slump in a big way as he has 3 hits, 2 HRs, and 5 RBIs in his last two games. The HRs can come often when Duvall is swinging a hot bat, and my guess is this success carries over to this series.

Pitching MVP: Anthony Bender

Why not keep the momentum going? Bender has looked impressive going 2 IP only allowing 1 hit and striking out three after debuting on Wednesday night, and could see more action if he is pitching like this.

Break-Out Player: Jon Berti

Berti has struggled so far this season only hitting .179. If Berti can draw a few starts in this series, it could be a break-out opportunity.

Bold Prediction: Lewis Brinson 2 HRs in Series

Brinson is 4/15 so far during the month of May with 2 2Bs, 1 HR, and 3 RBIs. Brinson will be motivated playing against his former organization, and could be in for a big series.

The Marlins bounced back nicely after getting swept in Washington with a sweep of their own. To potentially sweep the Brewers would be tougher to do than the Diamondbacks, but could the Marlins pull one off again?
