Miami Marlins vs Toronto Blue Jays Series Preview
After losing two in Boston, the Miami Marlins need a big bounce-back performance to build some momentum.
It was not a good start to the road-trip for the Miami Marlins as they dropped both games against the Red Sox that were played, with Sunday’s contest postponed due to rain. The Marlins were outscored 8-3 combined during the two games, and have now lost four of their last five.
Next up for Miami is two games against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays come into this series as losers in six of their last ten games, but have overall played some good baseball this season, most notably offensively sporting a +46 Run Differential.

The Blue Jays offense has the ability to heat up at any moment. Miami must get two quality starts from Alcantara and Lopez to compete in this short series.
Series Predictions
Offensive MVP: Magneuris Sierra
Sierra had a 3-5 outing at the plate on Saturday, his first multi-hit game since May 13. Expect Sierra to continue on this strong performance.
Pitching MVP: Sandy Alcantara
Alcantara was originally scheduled to start in Sunday’s rained-out game, and will now pitch with two extra days of rest. Expect a strong start on Tuesday from the Marlins ace.
Bold Prediction: Isan Diaz HR
Diaz is struggling from the plate recently now without a hit in six consecutive games. Could a HR break the seal for Diaz at the plate?
