With the remainder of the MLB All-Star Game rosters set to be announced this Sunday, July 4 at 5:30 pm on ESPN, let’s take a look at a few candidates from the Marlins to represent Miami in the 2021 MLB All-Star Game.
But first, some honorable mentions.
HM. OF Adam Duvall
2021 Season Stats: .224 AVG, .271 OBP, .480 SLG, .751 OPS, 18 HR, 56 RBI, 5 SB
While his batting average might not be the highest, Duvall currently ranks sixth in baseball in RBI’s, as well as T-14th in HR’s.
HM. 1B Jesus Aguilar
2021 Season Stats: .259 AVG, .318 OBP, .449 SLG, .766 OPS, 12 HR, 51 RBI
While his All-Star chances have taken a dip in recent weeks, Aguilar still currently ranks T-22nd in baseball in RBI’s.
HM. RP Yimi Garcia
2021 Season Stats: 3-6, 2.70 ERA, 1.033 WHIP, 12 Saves, 8 BB, 31 K
While unlikely, it’s still clear how good Garcia is having a strong first season as a closer T-16th in baseball with 12 saves.
