As the 2021 MLB All-Star Break is looming closely in the next week or two, will the Miami Marlins send anyone to Colorado for this years event?

With no Marlins’ players listed among the starters announced for the All-Star Game on Thursday night, the question begins on whether or not the team will send anyone to the Mid-Summer Classic? As you most likely already know, the Marlins have a few candidates to be named to the All-Star Game as reserves.

Who will the Miami Marlins send to the 2021 MLB All-Star Game?

With the remainder of the MLB All-Star Game rosters set to be announced this Sunday, July 4 at 5:30 pm on ESPN, let’s take a look at a few candidates from the Marlins to represent Miami in the 2021 MLB All-Star Game.

But first, some honorable mentions.

HM. OF Adam Duvall 

2021 Season Stats: .224 AVG, .271 OBP, .480 SLG, .751 OPS, 18 HR, 56 RBI, 5 SB

While his batting average might not be the highest, Duvall currently ranks sixth in baseball in RBI’s, as well as T-14th in HR’s.

HM. 1B Jesus Aguilar

2021 Season Stats: .259 AVG, .318 OBP, .449 SLG, .766 OPS, 12 HR, 51 RBI

While his All-Star chances have taken a dip in recent weeks, Aguilar still currently ranks T-22nd in baseball in RBI’s.

HM. RP Yimi Garcia

2021 Season Stats: 3-6, 2.70 ERA, 1.033 WHIP, 12 Saves, 8 BB, 31 K

While unlikely, it’s still clear how good Garcia is having a strong first season as a closer T-16th in baseball with 12 saves.
