The Miami Marlins are set to be one of the most active teams leading up to the July 30th MLB Trade Deadline. While they might not necessarily do much buying, the Marlins will be arguably the biggest seller of all.

While Miami has numerous players at multiple positions that will potentially be on the move, one position group that the Marlins have multiple potential trade candidates is the bullpen.

The Miami Marlins bullpen is a group to watch at the 2021 MLB Trade Deadline.

The Marlins bullpen is a group to watch over the next week and a half solely because of what will or won’t happen. While many of the bullpen arms in Miami’s pen are still under team control for multiple years, each of these players will most-likely garner interest from multiple teams.

There are five, maybe six, clear relievers in the Marlins bullpen that could potentially be on the move over the next week. But first, an honorable mention (potential option to be traded).

HM. LHP Ross Detwiler

2021 Season Stats: 1-1, 6.11 ERA, 1.387 WHIP, 13 BB, 41 K

While his value has certainly taken a hit over the last two weeks, the veteran southpaw could still receive interest for teams in need of a spot-starter/long-relief option.

Now, onto the list starting with No. 5….

5. RHP John Curtiss

2021 Season Stats: 3-1, 2.72 ERA, 1.156 WHIP, 9 BB, 36 K

Traded to Miami back in February from Tampa Bay, Curtiss has quietly had a phenomenal season posting an impressive 2.72 ERA across 36.1 innings pitched up to this point. While not having been used in many late-game situations by the Marlins in 2021, the 28-year old right-hander will be an intriguing option for contenders needing a multi-inning bullpen option.

Still under team control for four more seasons, Curtiss has built on top of a phenomenal 2020 season with the Rays, and has certainly impressed in the largest work-load of his five-year career. While Curtiss would be an intriguing option to keep in Miami going forward, it may be smart to sell the veteran reliever who sports a 0.77 ERA across 11.2 IP during the month of July, and had some impressive moments in the postseason for Tampa Bay a year ago.
