As the July 30th trade deadline nears, the rumors continue to flow surrounding the many Miami Marlins trade pieces.

One of Miami’s multiple potential trade pieces in outfielder Adam Duvall is surely going to garner interest from multiple contenders. Slashing .229/.275/.481 on the season with 22 HR’s and 68 RBI’s, the veteran slugger is potentially one of the top outfielders available, but it’s currently unknown if the Marlins may opt-to keep Duvall who is under team control for the 2022 season.

One team in particular that reportedly has interest in the veteran outfielder is Duvall’s former team, the Atlanta Braves.

Marlins Trade Rumors: Atlanta Braves reportedly interested in Adam Duvall.

According to a report on Wednesday morning from MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the Braves have interest in the Marlins outfielder.

Duvall is a player that the Braves know well considering he played for Atlanta from 2018-2020. During those three seasons, Duvall slashed a combined .231/.290/.488 with 26 HR’s and 52 RBI’s with the Braves.

Atlanta is certainly in the market for outfield help leading up to the trade deadline, even being linked at times to both Duvall and center fielder Starling Marte. However, would the Marlins even consider trading either Duvall or Marte to their division rival?

Would Miami even consider trading Duvall at all? According to Craig Mish of the Miami Herald, there is interest in keeping Duvall for the 2022 season, but it’s possible Miami could receive some intriguing offers for the 32-year old outfielder.

When looking at the Braves outfield, it makes sense that the club is potentially inquiring about Duvall, a player that they are familiar with and know what he can do both offensively and defensively. However, this could be unlikely to happen due to either the Marlins planning to keep Duvall, or that Miami will not trade one of their top run-producers to a division opponent.
