The headliner of this international signing period for the Marlins is undoubtedly Solano, the No. 44 overall international prospect in this signing period (MLB Pipeline). Solano is an exciting middle infield prospect with average to above-average tools across the board. According to MLB’s Sanchez, the 17-year-old has agreed to a $750,000 deal with Miami, and projects to be an everyday shortstop in the future as a strong defender, as well as being a switch-hitter with impressive athleticism.
