Marlin Maniac Roundtable: 2025 Miami Marlins Offseason Expectations

As the MLB offseason gets underway, some notable Marlins Twitter voices share what they think is in store for Miami in 2026.

Now that the World Series is in the rear view, the Miami Marlins offseason is officially underway.

Obviously, the same goes for twenty-nine other teams in MLB. Competition for free agents will be fierce as always. The Marlins are expected to be more active than they were the last two seasons, yet also to remain bargain shoppers relative to the top of the market spenders. Reinforcements will be added, but the biggest splashes will likely have to come via the trade or from within the organization. It's just the nature of the beast for Miami.

However, hope springs eternal this time year for every team, even small market ones like the Marlins. Until the free agents start flying of the shelves, arguments can be made for Miami adding on. Until the Braves, Mets, and Phillies add a couple more superstars, Marlins fans can talk about how they just might have enough to keep pace and push for the playoffs if enough players take the next step, or at least avoid falling off a cliff. I mean, it's not that crazy to dream the Marlins can compete, right? They already showed they had enough to handle the Mets the last weekend of the season as I recall...

Anyway, in the spirit of Miami Marlins offseason hope and prognostication, we at Marlin Maniac thought we'd sit down with some notable voices amongst the Marlins social media community and talk about what to expect from South Florida's baseball team in 2026. And by "sit down", we of course mean emails and DMs were exchanged until some answers were arrived at.
