Luis Arraez will have a tough time breaking the single season hit record

Miami Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez will have to have an uncanny second half of the season to get close to breaking the single season hit record. Ichiro Suzuki holds the record for hits in a season with 262, which he accomplished in 2004.

As it stands now Arraez has 90 hits, and would have to have more at-bats than he currently gets to have a chance at 262. Arraez could get close to it but if he breaks that record he would almost certainly break the .400 mark at the same time. It would be tough but I think all fans will agree, it would be amazing to see.
