The Miami Marlins are not having a bad season despite the latest pitching injuries. One question that might be too early to ask, is whether The Fish can actually make the MLB Postseason this season. I mean Fangraphs released their playoff odds, and we released our season predictions, so maybe it's not that early after all... Let's just take a look and see what the chances actually are.

The Miami Marlins can make the playoffs this season.

Fangraphs went from predicting the New York Yankees to win the American League East, to switching to the Tampa Bay Rays. They're saying that Tampa Bay has a 49.4% chance of winning the division, and a 92.85% chance of making the playoffs. The New York Yankees have an 86.7% chance of making the playoffs and a 32.4% chance of winning the division. The Toronto Blue Jays have a 71.3% chance of making the playoffs, and a 15.3% chance of winning the division. I think that it will still be the Bronx Bombers, but I won't argue with this prediction.

The Minnesota Twins are dominating their American League Central predictions. They have a 66.4% chance of making the playoffs, and a 58.7% chance of winning the division. The Cleveland Guardians have a 37.9% chance of making the playoffs, and a 28.1% of winning the division. I agree with this.

The Houston Astros have a 69.8% chance of making the playoffs, and a 46.6% chance of winning the division. The Texas Rangers apparently have a 56.1% chance of making the playoffs, and a 30.4% chance of winning the division. Makes sense.

The National League East looks...interesting. The Atlanta Braves have a 97.2% chance of making the playoffs and a 73.4% chance of winning the division. Can't argue that sadly. The New York Mets have an 81.9% chance of making the playoffs, and a 21.6% chance of winning the division. I'm surprised they're so down on the Mets, but I'll actually lower their chances. The Philadelphia Phillies have a 36.4% chance of making the playoffs, and a 3.3% chance of winning the division. I would make those oddsa lot lower. The Miami Marlins are at 25.1% to make the playoffs and 1.7% to win the division.

I think that Fangraphs is sleeping on The Fish. The Milwaukee Brewers are dominating the National League Central predictions. They have a 73.0% chance of making the playoffs, and a 54.1% chance of winning the division. The St. Louis Cardinals are next at 53.2% to make the playoffs and 29.4% to win the division.

The San Diego Padres are surprisingly still favored to win the NL West with 49.0%, and 77.0% odds to make the playoffs. The Los Angeles Dodgers are at 68.9% to make the playoffs (should be higher), and 37.2% to win the division (also should be higher). They actually have the San Francisco Giants ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks for both.

Next. It's time to extend this key hitter.... dark
