MLB All-Star Game Voting is Open, these Miami Marlins should make the roster!
The summer fan favorite in July the All-Star game will be here before you know it and the Miami Marlins need your help voting! The 2022 All-Star game featured three Miami Marlins: Sandy Alcantara, Jazz Chisholm, Jr., and Garrett Cooper. We want to see more and there are definitely more names that deserve a vote!
Looking at the stat leaders and newcomers this season gives fans more options to vote for so they can see their favorite players in action. Luis Arraez is hitting .376 with an OPS of .894 and is leading the league currently in both average and on-base percentage. He should be a lock for the All-Star game.
Bryan De La Cruz should also garner some votes for the All-Star game as he is currently leading the outfield in average at .301 and he has hit 7 home runs and driven in 23 with an .819 OPS. His 14 game hit streak earlier in the month should give him plenty of support among fans.
Jorge Soler is another outfielder/designated hitter who should easily make the All-Star team. Soler recently had a 5 game home run streak which bolstered his numbers for May to 12, and he currently sits at 17 home runs on the year. Soler has a .250 average and has driven in 35 and is currently ranked 3rd in the MLB in home runs and is tied for 10th in RBI in the National League and 3rd in slugging.
Jazz Chisholm, Jr. should also get plenty of votes both as a fan favorite but also for his stats. Jazz has 7 home runs and 14 steals in only 144 at-bats this season. That puts him at 5th in the National League in steals and the list of centerfielders who can both steal and hit piles of home runs is limited. We love Jazz vote him in!
Those in my opinion are the likely All-Star's on this years roster to date. Jesus Luzardo is 19th in the National League in ERA and 9th in strikeouts so he could get some votes but chances are he will be a bubble player that could be just off the list. Who do you think should be in?
