The Miami Marlins are finally improving the lineup, but there are still other areas on the team that need help. The bullpen in particular could use some improvements. There are always relief pitchers available that are "cheap" bounce back candidates. There are also three arms in particular who might be worth giving a chance to by The Fish. Let's take a look at some relief pitchers that the Miami Marlins should look into signing.

The Miami Marlins need to upgrade the bullpen.

First of all, let's take a moment to give closer Dylan Floro his due. There's been this belief that he's been a terrible closer, but it's not true. In 2021, he produced a 2.81 ERA/2.81 FIP with 8.7 K/9 and 3.5 BB/9 in 64.0 innings. In 2022, he produced a 3.02 ERA/3.13 FIP with 8.0 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9 in 53.2 innings. He's a good reliever and can handle the ninth inning, even if he isn't the most flashy option.

The options available in free agency can give him a run for his money, and are a boost to The Fish in general. There's one great option that I already wrote about before. I'm talking about Alex Reyes of course. The reliever had amazing marks of 12.4 and 11.8 K/9 in 2020 and 2021. He does have some trouble with walks and missed the 2022 season due to injury, but the righty has a ton of upside and should be cheap.

There are more veteran options for The Fish as well... How about Andrew Chafin? The lefty had a 1.83 ERA/2.98 FIP in 68.2 innings in 2021. He followed that up with a 2.83 ERA/3.06 FIP in 57.1 innings in 2022. He has a career 9.5 K/9 and 3.5 BB/9 and even had 10.5 K/9 in 2022.

What about a controversial option? I'm talking about Aroldis Chapman of course. Chapman had domestic abuse allegations made against him in the past, which he was suspended over. He does however have a career 2.48 ERA/2.34 FIP with 14.7 K/9. The lefty was disappointing in 2022 with a 4.46 ERA/4.57 FIP in 36.1 innings, but maybe he can turn things out with the Miami Marlins.

The Miami Marlins need bullpen upgrades and there are some intriguing options out there as you can see.
