There is little doubt that sometime between now and the start of spring training, Miami Marlins owner Bruce Sherman will be asked some tough questions about his baseball team.

Unfortunately, there is abundant doubt amongst Marlins fans on any forthcoming answers being particularly insightful or welcome.

Earlier this week, I wrote an article outlining some in a perfect world questions that Mr. Sherman would be put in a position to answer. The inspiration was the image of fans grilling him at the Miami Marlins annual FanFest event, but it's not a given he'll be taking many questions during that kind of appearance. However, I am hard-pressed to recall a time that the Marlins current owner didn't hold court before the media at the start of spring training. So plenty of time for someone to get blunt with a man comfortable rendering his team hopeless during the most hopeful time of the MLB season.

But what if he was just as blunt in return? Candid? Truthful? What if the answers weren't just soundbytes about down the road promises? What if he said something of actual interest?

If only, right?

Well, before the cliche parade starts, why not spend a few moments dreaming of whatever out of body experience, truth serum induced set of circumstances would lead to just such an earnest, revealing media session playing out over the next couple weeks? It'll never happen, but an end to being led around by the nose should at least make you feel a little better.

*Fairly obvious author's note before we dive in: Any words that follow were not, regrettably, spoken by Bruce Sherman at any point. Not on tape at any rate. The same questions from my article on must ask, tough questions are presented here...with some tough to hear answers for any Miami Marlins fans or reporters that dare to ask them of the Marlins owner this month.
