With the premiere of CBS’s show ‘Survivor’ slated for tomorrow night, we are less than 48 hours away from watching David Samson’s much anticipated reality show sequel. Somehow, this is the second reality show that Samson will have appeared on, following the Marlins’ spotlight on a season of Showtime’s ‘The Franchise’. It appears like his reality show dreams are really coming true.
The lead up to the premiere hasn’t been all roses for the stepson of owner Jeffrey Loria. Samson has been very generous in his propensity to deliver us with unintentional comedy bites, effectively killing all hope of restoring an image that never really had a chance to begin with.
For years, only those in the baseball world really knew who David Samson was and had an opinion on him. Now much of the U.S. will get to see just who Samson is. Knowing Samson, he will fight for his screen time, because he loves attention. Really, really loves attention. He will surely come across as smarmy and manipulative, and will likely think he is smarter than everyone else. I am excited to see the moment that he thinks he is ahead of the game, when he really isn’t.
Besides being a fan of the Miami Marlins, I am also a fan of the ‘Survivor’ franchise. For that reason alone, I would be watching anyway. Now that one of the top Marlins fans’ villains are involved, I can’t wait. The question is, will you be watching? Answer our poll below to see if any Marlins’ fans are going to be viewing just how badly Samson sticks his foot in his mouth this time.
