Stats: 5.1 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO <p>Jarred Cosart got off to a great start, striking out two in the first inning, taking advantage of a generous strike zone from the home plate umpire. After walking 3 and striking out just one hitter last time out, Cosart turned the tables and was more efficient in the strike zone. A 3-run homer off the bat of Wilmer Flores tied the game at 3 in the 5th. A half inning after the Marlins gave Cosart a 4-3 lead, he coughed it up and gave the Mets a 5-4 lead. The 5 strikeouts and just one walk are encouraging though.</p>. SP
